ReHarmony Silica Matte Clear Coat
ReHarmony Silica Matte Clear Coat is a water-based, matte, transparent, single-component coating formulated with silicone-modified emulsion as its primary film-forming material and high-performance additives. It delivers excellent protective properties such as waterproofing, breathability, anti-yellowing, and high durability, effectively enhancing the wall's resistance to mold, dirt, and weathering while maintaining long-lasting cleanliness and beauty.
Its matte finish provides exceptional decorative effects, concealing wall imperfections and ensuring an even appearance. As an eco-friendly, non-toxic product, it is ideal for use on stone paints, textured coatings, and other water-based materials, offering reliable protection and aesthetic enhancement.

Surface Preparation Technical Requirements
Substrate Inspection
Verify substrates are free from cracks, looseness, powdering, oil stains, watermarks, rust, or peeling old coatings. Repair if necessary.
Moisture content: ≤8% for concrete/metal substrates (to prevent blistering), ≤12% for wood (to avoid warping/mold).
Contaminant Removal
Oil/grease: Clean with organic solvents (e.g., alcohol, acetone) or specialized cleaners to ensure no residue.
Rust/oxidation: For metal substrates, use mechanical abrasion (sandpaper, wire brush), sandblasting (quartz sand/steel shot), or acid pickling to meet ISO 8501-1 St2 (manual) or Sa2.5 (blasted, with minimal residual stains).
Old coatings/loose layers: Scrape off peeling sections and sand to a solid base. For concrete with laitance, remove via pressure washing or mechanical grinding.
Surface Leveling
Pits/cracks: Fill with epoxy putty/bondo, then sand smooth (grit: 120–240 for metal; 80–180 for concrete/wood).
Wood/plastic: Sand to remove burrs; apply sealer primer on wood knots to prevent bleeding.
Dust Removal
After treatment, remove dust/debris with compressed air, vacuum, or clean cloth to ensure adhesion.
Substrate-Specific Requirements
Metal Substrates (e.g., steel, aluminum)
Post-derusting: Apply primer within 4–6 hours to prevent re-rusting. Reclean if delayed or surface moisture returns.
Galvanized/aluminum: Avoid excessive sanding damaging oxide layers. Clean with alcohol; apply zinc-yellow epoxy or aluminum-specific primer.
Concrete Substrates (walls, floors)
New concrete: Cure ≥28 days; neutralize alkalinity (pH ≤10) with dilute HCl/oxalic acid, then rinse/dry.
Old concrete: Remove hollow/weakened layers; fill cracks >0.2mm with elastic putty/epoxy resin.
Wood Substrates (outdoor, furniture)
Natural wood: Remove bark/resin (wipe with alcohol); fill wormholes and sand. For outdoor use, apply wood sealer first.
Engineered wood (e.g., MDF): Seal edges; sand surfaces smooth to avoid fiber exposure.
Existing Coatings (repainting scenarios)
Intact coatings: Lightly sand to roughen; remove chalky layers/stains.
Peeling/cracked coatings: Strip to bare substrate and treat as new. Verify compatibility between old solvent-based coatings and new silicone-acrylic topcoats (to prevent lifting).
Key Notes
Environmental Conditions
Temperature: 5–35°C; humidity ≤85%.
Implement dust control in windy conditions.
Tools
Use clean, dry abrasives (e.g., silica sand) for blasting.
Sand progressively from coarse to fine grit.
Inspection
Visual: No oil, rust, pits, or sharp edges.
Adhesion: Cross-cut test (ISO 2409) for primer bonding.
